Fulton Street Collective presents a performance with JOHN HAVRILLA SEXTET and LIZZI TRUMBORE on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:30pm. The evening will feature live painting from visual artist TBA. The John Havrilla 6tet is a modern jazz ensemble based in Chicago, led by saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer John Havrilla. The group performs a dynamic mix of original compositions and modern jazz. While heavily rooted in the jazz tradition, the John Havrilla 6tet brings a contemporary perspective, weaving elements of Latin, RnB, Soul, and other modern styles into its sound. Their performances are marked by deep groove, rich interplay, and a forward-looking artistic vision. Lizzi Trumbore is an award-winning Chicago-based jazz vocalist, composer, pianist, and educator known for her sophisticated blend of intimate piano pop and adventurous jazz improvisation. Originally from San Diego, she has built a reputation for genre-bending compositions, an emotive voice, and an authentic approach to story-telling.Trumbore creates “piano-driven art pop with a strong jazz sensibility,” crafting music that pairs clear, ethereal vocal delivery with intricate instrumental arrangements.
