Presented by 3MBS, Abbey Paige Williams makes her JazzLab debut this November, presenting an intimate evening of jazz standards, golden-age musical favourites and contemporary songs that have shaped her musical world. Inspired by artists including Ella Fitzgerald, Julie London, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee, as well as contemporary artists such as Laufey, Stella Cole and Lady Gaga, Abbey brings a fresh perspective to timeless songs while celebrating the enduring magic of jazz. Joined by some of Melbourne’s finest musicians Alexander Nettelbeck (piano), Andy Horneman (drums) and James Shortland (double bass)—Abbey has curated a program that takes audiences on a nostalgic journey through classic Old Hollywood glamour, iconic melodies and intimate jazz. Be swept up in an evening of music, nostalgia and timeless storytelling, celebrating the songs and artists that have inspired Abbey throughout her musical journey.
