Sharel Cassity (DCJF)

Sharel Cassity is a saxophonist, flutist and educator based in Chicago. She has performed as a sideman for the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Roy Hargrove and Nicholas Payton, and is a current member of the Dizzy Gillespie Latin Experience and All-Star Big Band. Her personal style blends her background in classical with traditional straight-ahead and contemporary jazz styles. Presented as part of the 2026 DC Jazz Festival .
