Saxophonist, singer, guitarist, songwriter, and arranger Jimmy Carpenter, originally from New Orleans, is one of the most respected figures on today’s scene. He is a two-time Blues Music Award winner in the Best Instrumentalist/Horn category (2021 and 2022) and also a Grammy winner as co-writer of a song on Atmosphere by the New Orleans Nightcrawlers. His album Just Got Started, released on Gulf Coast Records, debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Blues Chart and followed a string of highly acclaimed releases. The album was produced by the award-winning Kid Andersen at Greaseland Studio in California. Over the course of his career, Carpenter has toured the world alongside artists such as Tinsley Ellis, Jimmy Thackery, Walter “Wolfman” Washington, Eric Lindell, and Mike Zito.
