Amaury Faye Nola 4tet feat Herlin Riley

About

Amaury Faye piano · Alexandre Galinié tenor sax · Edouard Pennes double bass · Guillaume Prevost drums Piano prodigy and one of the most distinctive voices in French jazz, Amaury Faye returns with a spectacular line-up: jazz legend Herlin Riley on drums, rising tenor sax star Julian Lee , and one of the brightest new talents in American jazz, bassist Amina Scott . RUST is wild dances under the rusted bridges of Tremé , freight trains rumbling along the Mississippi, sirens wailing through the 9th Ward, rice and beans cooked on a neighbor’s porch, and eccentric youth roaming downtown and vacant lots in surreal costumes. “The album of the year, straight from the heart of New Orleans: a masterful collision between the burning, organic rhythms of the city and Amaury Faye’s cinematic universe.”
