His way of playing elevated it into a melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic instrument at the same time, opening up a universe of possibilities that, even today, continues to inspire musicians around the world. In this project, Martín Laportilla revisits emblematic compositions by Pastorius and explores his legacy from a contemporary perspective, bringing the tradition of electric jazz into dialogue with a personal and current voice. The concert is conceived as a journey through some of Jaco ’s most representative works, presented in arrangements specially created for this ensemble.
