Musical Style: Jazz Joe Anderies and Rob Mullins celebrate 50 years on the Denver Jazz Scene Rob Mullins and Joe Anderies first started performing together in Denver at Emerson Street East in downtown Denver. After leading their own quintet “Solaris” in the early 80’s, Rob went on to Los Angeles where he became keyboardist for Hubert Laws while Joe took his visionary educational programs to the schools in Colorado launching the first elementary school jazz programs in Colorado history. As the years went on, Rob and Joe stayed in touch making “Music For Lovers” (1993) recorded FTM Studios-Lakewood) “TRUE-Live at Dazzle” (2012 recorded live at Dazzle 9th and Lincoln) and “This Way Up” (recorded at Mighty Fine Studios Denver). Rob and Joe have done over 2000 shows in Denver and have taught more than 125,000 hours of jazz instructions. Now in 2026 Rob and Joe will team up for an unforgettable evening celebrating their 50 year anniversary as proud members of the Denver Jazz Scene. The songs will be specially curated to reflect the growth of Denver’s unique musical footprint as well stories about how the Denver jazz scene has evolved over the decades and where it will be head in 2027. Celebrating 50 Years on the Denver Jazz Scene with Seth Lewis and Gabriel Mangione Fees- a 10% seat tax to the City and County of Denver, 4% to cover other music licensing and fees, and $0.75 for ticketing service, Venue Pilot.
