About

PLS NOTE: DOORS OPEN AT 6PM FOR A 6.30PM SHOWTIME (SHOW DURATION IS 6.30PM-8.10PM) The Laurel Canyon Scene - LA in the 1970s "For a start, the scene was more metaphorical than geographical. Nobody remembers everything the same way. What is undeniably true is that from the mid -1960s to the early 1970s some of the most melodic, atmospheric, and subtly political American popular music was written by residents of, or those associated with, Laurel Canyon." - Vanity Fair ‘Miss George’ takes you on a journey to this special time, where artists such as Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Linda Ronstadt, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and the Eagles lived and created music in the hills around LA. Expect an evening of jazz and folk influenced pop that evokes the free spirit of Laurel Canyon. Joining George will be a lineup featuring some of Melbourne's most in-demand jazz musicians. Georgina Docherty - Vocals Mina Yu - Piano Andy McGarvie - Guitar Hadyn Murtagh - Bass Ben Charnley - Drums Genre - Jazz/Folk
