Magda Baraczka Quartet, Traditional Jazz Vocals Please join us for an evening of traditional swinging jazz music! Magda Baraczka is a fourth-year Jazz Voice student at the University of Toronto. Backing her up, is a wonderful band comprised of Duncan Wilson on piano, Hiro Tanaka on bass, and Alex Sgrignoli on the drums. Taking influences from Betty Carter, Carmen Mcrae, and Lorez Alexandria, Magda enjoys singing jazz standards with fresh and unique sound. In addition to the Emmet Ray, she has sung and bandled at venues across the city, such as the Rex, the Jazz Bistro, the Duke Live and the Only Cafe.
