Lilienn Jazz Quartet feat. Kornél Fekete-Kovács: Jazz & Amy Winehouse

About

The personal touch of jazz, the passion of soul and Amy Winehouse’s outspoken songs come together at Lilienn’s concert. The first set features classic jazz standards with fresh arrangements. The second set pays tribute to the 20th anniversary of Amy Winehouse’s album Back to Black. The jazz arrangements blend the worlds of soul and R&B with rich harmonies, varied rhythms and improvisation, preserving the songs’ raw emotional power whilst revealing new details and nuances. Lilienn evokes the vulnerability and passion of Winehouse, whilst also showcasing her own distinctive musical style. Kornél Fekete-Kovács enriches the band’s sound with his trumpet playing as a guest.
