KARIN PLATO QUARTET

About

Karin Plato is a Juno nominated jazz vocalist and recording artist. She has performed throughout Canada and in the western USA for concert societies and at jazz festivals. She works as a composer, arranger and music educator. She has three times been nominated Canadian Jazz Vocalist of the Year at the National Jazz Awards and she is a West Coast Music Award nominee . Karin has released nine independent recordings of jazz and blues standards and her original songs. Karin has a vast repertoire of songs including famous and familiar jazz standards and forgotten gems from the 30’s and 40’s and she also features some of her own material in performances. Prepare to be pleased with the experience of being taken on a musical journey with energized dynamic interplay with Karin and her band mates.
