NO COVER 4:30pm Show Joel Shapira returns from Paris and brings this stellar contemporary jazz trio to Berlin, playing the likes of Monk, Miles, Shorter, and more. Band Members: Joel Shapira - Guitar Max Johnk - Bass Haralds Bondaris - Drums ⊹ Guitarist Joel Shapira is a nationally acclaimed musician residing in Minnesota. He leads and is a member of multiple top Twin Cities jazz ensembles, and he is a master of the demanding discipline of solo guitar. He performs regularly with world-class musicians, has numerous recordings to his credit, and is featured on the New York City record label Unseen Rain Records. Max Johnk is a journeyman bassist based in Minneapolis, MN. A recent transplant to the Twin Cities, Johnk has worked in the jazz, indie, Americana, and underground metal scenes across the Midwest for over a decade. He’s been lucky enough to perform with Dakota Andersen, Wayne Anthony, Abinnet Berhanu, Davina and the Vagabonds, Paul Hecht, Cassandra Johnson, Toussaint Morrison, Conor Lee, Ethan Ostrow, The Weeping Covenant, and many others.
