PLS NOTE: DOORS OPEN AT 7.30PM FOR A 8PM SHOWTIME (SHOW DURATION IS 8PM-10PM) The beginning of the 1940’s saw the brewing of a new kind of music; novel, electric, supercharged. Sequestered away in the smoky, dimly-lit clubs of Harlem, New York City, musicians like Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie and Kenny Clarke took to the bandstand with some of the fastest, loudest, most high-octane music the world had ever seen - it went by many names, but the one that would be remembered by history was… bebop! Join the Bopologists, led by trombonist Christopher Rozakeas, for a transformative night of music that harkens back to the legendary period of the 40s and 50s, where musicians cut their teeth on tough compositions, showed off their virtuosity, and innovated like never before.
