Shapeshifting and soulful instrumental jazz returns with the Nadav Rayman Trio, celebrating the launch of their second album, Sequence the next instalment in their evolving sound. Following the success of their debut with Second Sight , the trio Nadav Rayman (piano), Matthew Coleman (bass) and Michael Evans-Barker (drums) – continues to explore the dynamic intersection of contemporary soul jazz and hip-hop, balancing musical depth and an accessible sound. For this special album launch, the trio is joined by standout collaborators featured on Sequence : Tyla Moonchild (vocals), Tumi the Be (MC) and Zima (vocals). Across two sets, the ensemble will bring Sequence to life — reimagining the album in an expanded live format featuring a guest horn section with Will Larsen (saxophone), Josh Mackie (trombone) and Chantal Marks (flugelhorn). This is a chance to experience a vibrant showcase of Melbourne’s contemporary soul jazz and hip-hop scene, featuring entirely original compositions.
