Gían Pérez plays the guitar a bit like John Cage played the piano (specifically prepared piano): do not expect familiar sounds but do anticipate hearing the configurations of wood, strings and electronics be pushes to new sonic boundaries. Selendis Sebastian Alexander Johnson is a New York City-based vibraphonist and trombonist performs Black American improvisational music, rooted in free jazz traditions. Her work focuses on the intersection between politics, history and radical jazz. Nelson Dougherty is a D.C.-based jazz guitarist, best known as co-leader of FIASCO!, a quartet that fuses experimental jazz with elements of acid rock and punk rock. Saxophonist and electronic musician Zach Dixon draws in inspiration from fantasy games and ambient and noise music to color his songs.
