The Copa Kings are back at Parker Jazz Club on Friday, November 13, with a full-throttle six-horn doubleheader at 7:00pm and 9:30pm. Built around the band's brassy spin on Sinatra at the Sands, the night brings back the golden age of swing with a horn section big enough to rattle the glasses. Billy Murphy, a crooner in the Sinatra and Harry Connick Jr. mold, delivers smooth phrasing and easy swagger, while Barbara White, a throwback phenom whose voice pairs vintage elegance with modern fire, steals every scene she's in.
