NO COVER 4:30pm Show Pianist Nancy Bierma opens the night at Berlin with her jazz trio, playing songs by Nancy’s favorite composers Keith Jarrett, Wayne Shorter, and Pat Metheny, along with some original compositions. Band Members: Nancy Bierma - Piano Jim Bierma - Bass Nathan Norman - Drums ⊹ Nancy Bierma and Jim Bierma have played music together for decades. Nancy has a degree in piano from Drake University and has performed solo and in groups of various sizes, from duos to eight-piece bands. Nancy and Jim have worked in groups with Charmin Michelle, Chreese and Geoff Jones, Debbie Duncan, and Matt French. They are in the Iowa Jazz Hall of Fame. Nathan Norman is graduate of Eastman School of Music from Washington, D.C. He is one of the most requested drummers in the Twin Cities and has worked with many musicians, including Adi Yeshaya, Paul Harper, and Dale Alexander.
