Guitarist Matt Hoyne launches his fourth album, Furniture Music, with a quintet made up of some of Melbourne’s most exciting improvising musicians. The first set will feature new music arranged for the group while the second set will be a performance of the album. This concert will feature the immeasurable talents of Niran Daskia on trumpet, Holly Moore on alto saxophone, Robbie Finch on bass and Lewis Pierre on drums. Like well-designed furniture, this music is intended to provide comfort, offer respite from the busyness of everyday life, and elevate the experience of being at home.
