Jeremy Monteiro Sextet — Celebrating 50 Years of Jazz. Singapore's "King of Swing" marks fifty years as a professional musician with a night of strait-ahead and original jazz at PizzaExpress Live Chelsea — a room he knows well, having played the EFG London Jazz Festival six times, twice at PizzaExpress Live. A Cultural Medallion recipient and the only Southeast Asian artist previously signed to the legendary Verve label, Monteiro leads an International Sextet featuring Alan Barnes, Henry Lowther and Calum Gourlay, alongside New York-based tenor player Sean Hong Wei and drummer Hong Chanutr Techatananan. Expect swinging standards, pulsating bossa novas and originals — including a piece co-written with Alan Barnes.
