About
Péter Ajtai (double bass), János Bujdosó (guitar), Ádám Czitrom (guitar) and Attila Gyárfás (drums) are veteran characters from the Hungarian alternative jazz, rock, fusion and experimental music scenes, known from bands such as Qiyan, Mingus! Mingus! Mingus!, Bujdosó Trio, Pop Ivan, Európa Kiadó, Balaton, Jazzékiel, Quelquefois, and others. The quartet was formed in 2023 originally as a one-time formation, by invitation of Inverted Spectrum Records for the release event of the compilation album The Underground Jazz Scene in Budapest Today, but the captivating result of this novel combination of performers led to a long tenure within the Budapest avantgarde music scene. The improv quartet’s unpredictable concerts move freely in between gentle fusion, aggressive punk jazz, noise, psychedelic atmospheres, and other, unidentifiable territories, like a surreal sequence of moving images, as the four musicians that come from differing backgrounds and inclinations push their skills, energy, and creativity to their outer limits, alternating between the common grounds they occasionally find a
