11-Time Grammy Winner Tony Lindsay: Soul Meets Jazz at Meyhouse in Palo Alto
Meyhouse Jazz Palo Alto in Palo Alto, South Bay.
About
11-time Grammy Award winner Tony Lindsay brings his rich, soulful voice to Meyhouse Jazz for an evening where soul meets jazz. Best known for his 25 years as the lead vocalist for Santana, Lindsay became part of one of the most celebrated chapters in the band’s history, performing on major recordings and touring with Santana around the world. His voice carries the polish of a world-class performer, but also the warmth, phrasing, and emotional depth of a singer deeply rooted in soul, R&B, and jazz. For this special program, Lindsay presents a powerful selection of soul standards by Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Frankie Beverly, alongside select jazz standards that highlight his range and versatility. From timeless grooves to intimate ballads, the evening showcases what makes him one of America’s great male vocalists: a voice that is expressive, effortless, and unmistakably soulful. He is joined by John R Burr on piano, Dan Robbins on bass, and Michael O’Neill on saxophone. Warm, soulful, and deeply musical, Soul Meets Jazz celebrates the timeless connection between classic soul and jazz, led by a singer whose career has taken him from world stages to the heart of the Bay Area music scene. Dinner Forma Doors open at 5 pm, the show starts at 6:30 pm. Our full menu is offered à la carte during this time. Food and beverages are not included in the ticket price and will be offered separately from our regular Meyhouse à la carte menu.
