$15 (General Admission) 7:00pm Show Get Tickets For the second week of his September residency, Brandon Wozniak has assembled a new band named after the deepest oceanic trench on Earth. “I chose these musicians because of their unique approach to music and improvisation,” Wozniak writes. “This group will focus on improvisation with a few of my compositions sprinkled in.” Band Members: Brandon Wozniak - Saxophone/Electronics Michelle Kinney - Cello Erik Fratzke - Bass Davu Seru - Drums ⊹ Brandon Wozniak is a Minneapolis-based saxophonist, composer, and educator widely recognized as one of Minnesota’s leading voices in modern jazz. After spending six years in New York City and a six-month stint in Shanghai, China, he returned to the Twin Cities in 2006 and has since become a vital presence in the regional and national jazz community. Known for his expressive tone, adventurous improvisation, and deep musical sensitivity, Wozniak regularly performs with many of the Midwest’s most respected ensembles.
