He has performed in a wide variety of venues, from the Jazz Showcase in Chicago to the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC. He has shared the stage with such legendary musicians as Steve Wilson, Delfeayo Marsalis, and Ted Nash. His sextet focuses on performing original compositions as well as rediscovering rarely performed hard bop classics. As a teacher with Merit School of Music, The People's Music School, and with various band programs in the Chicago area, he has guided students to excellence, including students being accepted to top collegiate music programs such as University or North Texas, Berklee, and Temple.
