Concert at Toots Jazz Club, Brussels, on 29 September 2026. pawns, queens, knights... and your brain ! Every Tuesday, in collaboration with the Ixelles Chess Club, the jazz club turns into a friendly chess club open to all levels. An informal tournament of 8 rounds of Blitz in Swiss system format: you're guaranteed to play 8 games. A short break halfway through the tournament, which wraps up by 10pm at the latest, followed by the chance to carry on with casual games, chess variants and puzzles after the tournament. Great jazz records on the speakers, our selection of beers, cocktails and soft drinks, and tactical battles on the board — all in a warm, easy-going atmosphere! Free donation (suggested €5) towards the purchase and upkeep of equipment, one drink minimum per person required. Limited to 50 players, first come, first served. Free for Ixelles Chess Club members with full membership up to date.
