PLS NOTE: DOORS OPEN AT 7.30PM FOR A 8PM SHOWTIME (SHOW DURATION IS 8PM-10PM) Tenor Trouble brings together four of Melbourne's finest tenor saxophone players for a night dedicated to the influential voices of the jazz saxophone tradition. Drawing inspiration from the iconic quadruple tenor album "Very Saxy", the band will present exciting arrangements from the great Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis, Buddy Tate, Coleman Hawkins, and Arnett Cobb. Additionally, music from classic tenor battle albums such as "Boss Tenors", "A Blowing Session", and "The Tenor Giants" will be showcased. Expect to be immersed in the sounds of four tenor saxophone players going head-to-head on fiery arrangements of swing classics and working side-by-side on beautiful, sweet ballads. Backed by a top-tier rhythm section, this is a night built on fearless improvisation and the kind of musical chemistry where great saxophone players push each other in real time.
