While riding the freight train lines, Zander was caught by CP railroad officals. In an attempt to evade the railroad police, he wound up falling off a tank car and onto the railroad track. Five years later at age 25, he continues to play guitar despite the traumatic incident. From playing dive bar blues jams, a taste for Rockabilly music began and now fronts Dogwood and the Shakers.
