Known for exploring multiple genres and styles, Giulio Xavier Cetto's study of music spans continents and generations. Giulio is influenced by his Venezuelan-Italian heritage, Bay Area rap, and his jazz and classically-trained family of musicians. His well-rounded experience, deep listening and openness allow him to adapt to any musical scenario. Giulio has performed with Grammy Award-winning artists such as Lawrence Hobgood, Johnathan Hoard, Fantastic Negrito, and Thomas Pridgen, and he tours the globe with Spellling and Kassa Overall. He is often seen on the Bay Area’s most vaunted stages including SF Jazz, Yoshi’s Oakland, Yerba Buena Theater, Zellerbach Playhouse, Black Cat, and the Great American Music Hall. Cetto is best known for his unique personality on both electric and acoustic bass, impressing audiences with his magnetic energy.
