Lineup: Adam Stein - Tenor saxophone Isaac Byrd - Piano Ahmed McLemore - Bass Jacob Smith - Drums Adam Stein is a 23 year-old tenor saxophonist from Miami, Florida, now based in New York City and pursuing a master's degree at the Juilliard School. Having been mentored by the likes of Ira Sullivan, Grant Stewart, Kenny Washington, Bob Mover, Lew Tabackin, and Joe Magnarelli, Stein has fostered a great affinity for bebop and the Great American Songbook, and relishes the tenor greats of the past, such as Sonny Rollins, Coleman Hawkins, Don Byas, and Lester Young. Stein aims to allow his own personality to emerge through deep study and respect for the rich tradition of jazz, in order to create a musical product that is rooted yet truly unique.
