LePiano’s Sunday Spotlight features Chicago’s own, vocalist, actress, Shannon Wright. She has been a luxury wedding and entertainment professional for more than 25 years. She’s has been a lead vocalist in many of Chicago’s most elite orchestras. She is the founder and owner of A RÖYAL PRODUCTION, a luxury full-service entraînement boutique. Radiating warmth, elegance, and unmistakable charisma, Shannon brings showmanship and a luminous energy to the stage that captivates audiences from the very first note. Rooted in Southern gospel tradition and shaped by the soulful sophistication of jazz, her seasoned vocals glide effortlessly through sultry tones, heartfelt emotion, and a smooth neo-soul flow. She has shared the stage or worked with artists such as: opening for Jamie Foxx, Brian McKnight, Stephanie Mills, Jesse Campbell, Tanya Blount, and Shirley Ceasar. She has recorded with the legendary Ramsey Lewis, and his sons, The Lewis Brothers. For this Sunday Spotlight Shannon will be flanked by two of the finest musicians from her RÖYAL Orchestra. They have performed together for more than 20 years for Chicago’s most luxurious galas, Broadway shows, country clubs, and high-end events. On the Chicago and Los Angeles music scenes for over 45 years, Bobby Schiff, has provided piano for and with the best: Mel Tome, Peggy Lee, Johnny Hartman, Ella Fitzgerl,L Frank D’Rone, Barbara McNair, The Arbors and Bobby Rydell and Wayne Newton. He worked several years at Universal Recording Studios in Chicago, honing his skills in the music production and publishing business. Throughout the 70’s, his award-winning commercial music business served such clients as Kimberly-Clark, Sesame Street, McDonald’s, John Deere, Sears, Kraft and Hallmark. Chicago’s very own gypsy jazz and classical violinist Daniela Ionescu Bisenius was born in Bucharest, Romania. Her accomplished bio is so rich and includes her studies at the Musikhochschule Saarbrucken with Russian teacher Valerie Gradov. She also attended Violin Master Classes in Nice, France with Henrick Szering and Gerarld Poulet. In 1988 she came to US, where she was awarded full scholarship to University of Iowa and studied with Prof. Leopold La Fosse. Daniela is a very versatile musician. She has shared the stage with many great stars over the years such as: Natalie Cole, Luther Vandross, Smokie Robinson, Kurt Elling, among many others. Daniela and Bobby have a great playful rapport that combines jazz and classical. Now infusing Shannon’s gospel, R&B, soulful vocals ‘melts together like chocolate,’ as Daniela says.
