About
PLS NOTE: DOORS OPEN AT 9PM FOR A 9.30PM SHOWTIME (SHOW DURATION IS 9.30PM-11.30PM) Guitarist Nash Lee (12 Tone Diamonds, Rabid Hawk) leads a refined new quartet featuring acclaimed Australian saxophonist Julien Wilson, alongside local legends Charlie Rank (bass) and Sam Bates (drums). Together they explore subtle rhythmic interplay and melodic dialogue — a sound that honours the jazz tradition while embracing open improvisation and forward motion. Lee began his musical journey on the NSW North Coast in the late 1990s, mentored by rhythm visionary Greg Sheehan and guitarist Jim Kelly. Over the years he has performed alongside many of Australia’s leading jazz musicians, including Julien Wilson, Scott Tinkler, Barney McAll and Dave Rex. Committed to the lifelong study of jazz guitar, Lee has undertaken study with internationally renowned guitarists Steve Cardenas, , Jonathan Kreisberg and Oz Noy, helping shape a personal approach that balances tradition with exploration. Having spent much of his career in original improvised music, Lee has more recently turned his focus toward the jazz
