Drawing on experience with the Kurt Rosenwinkel Quartet and Sam Yahel Trio, Rueckert has long proven his band-leading chops; his previous quartet with Mark Turner, Lage Lund, or Mike Moreno toured internationally for over 15 years. As a side person, he’s worked with Fred Hersch’s trio, Melissa Aldana, Seamus Blake/Chris Cheek’s Reed’s Ramble, Marc Copland, Nils Wogram’s Root 70, and more, performing on major stages worldwide—including his favourite, the Village Vanguard.
