Jazz Jam Session with Tim Park Sextet

This August, ArtLove Salon presents the Tim Park Sextet, a dynamic ensemble of Seattle-based musicians alongside artists from across the U.S. and abroad. The group will perform arrangements of Great American Songbook classics and compositions by great jazz figures, including Sonny Rollins, Bill Evans, and many more. Music will also include selections from “Clouds We Left Behind,” a collection of compositions reflecting on Park’s first year navigating music away from his home in Seattle. Afterward, the space will open to all musicians for an exciting Jazz jam session facilitated by Tim Park. Musicians, here are some instructions: Horn players, bring your instruments! Drummers, just bring your sticks and brushes! Upright bassists and keyboardists, no need to haul your instrument; we’ll have them there! Join us for an evening of fantastic new works, a collaborative jam session, and to celebrate the meeting of art, community, and live music at one of Seattle’s most inspiring venues! Music performance begins at 4 PM; free with RSVP. Refreshments provided.
