The Jason Baptista Trio, Bebop/Straight Ahead Jazz, The Jason Baptista Trio is a chord-less trio comprising some of the rising stars in the Toronto jazz scene. The trio specializes in performing tunes from the great American songbook as well as compositions from bebop and hardbop pioneers Charlie Parker, George Shearing and John Coltrane.
