The project was born as part of the Madagascar Flamenco Week, organized by the Honorary Consulate of Spain in Antananarivo, with the aim of building an authentic artistic dialogue between flamenco and Malagasy musical tradition, moving away from superficial collaborations and embracing listening, respect, and shared creation. The project brings together Rajery , master of the valiha and a leading figure in Malagasy music, and Raúl Rodríguez , anthropomusician, researcher, and creator of the flamenco tres. Their first meeting in 2019 confirmed an exceptional musical and human connection, giving rise to a collaboration that, after several years of development, came to fruition in the recording of this album.
