About

Symbiosis Quintet from Budapest mainly plays instrumental jazz. Their music is strongly influenced by the world of modal jazz, but at the same time, due to the diverse interests of the band members, many other musical solutions can be seen in their compositions. Their repertoire now consists of their own compositions, mostly written by drummer Roland Majsai, pianist Levente Kapolcsi-Szabó and saxophonist Máté Drippey. They like to pour their impressions of human emotions, landscapes or a specific life situation into music, which is often reflected in the titles of their works. The members of the band met between the walls of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music and the Béla Bartók Conservatory and started working together a little more than a year ago. All of them are active participants in the Hungarian jazz scene. Being young musicians, they all consider it important to find their individual voice, as well as to continuously refine the band's sound. Their main goal is to experience the expressive power of instrumental music and introduce it to listeners. Máté Drippey – saxophone, B
