The Gábor Horváth Tojás Trio’s latest, sixth album, to be released in the fall of 2026, was recorded in collaboration with the Cheeky Choir, blending the band’s jazz-rooted work with the vibrant hues of world music. What makes this project special is the encounter between instrumental improvisation and choral culture, as well as a fresh soundscape that draws on the freedom of jazz on the one hand and the richness of world music motifs on the other. In addition to the trio’s own compositions, the concert program features arrangements of Bulgarian, Greek, African, and, of course, Hungarian folk music, which the band performs together with the 25-member Cheeky Choir – this collaboration creates a cross-cultural evening whose magic is sure to captivate the audience.
