Louis Ford clarinet, saxophone and vocals · Carlos Childe banjo and vocals · Hector Oliveira double bass · David Herrington trumpet · Fer Lamas drums A journey to New Orleans led by the virtuoso clarinetist and saxophonist Louis Ford , exploring its sounds and rhythms through one of the musicians most deeply committed to preserving the city’s musical tradition. A member of the Preservation Hall Legacy Program , Louis belongs to the fifth generation of New Orleans musicians. His father, Clarence Ford , was Fats Domino ’s saxophonist for 30 years. He studied with Ellis Marsalis and Kid Jordan at Loyola University, where he earned a degree in Music Education. Louis has performed with musicians such as Harry Connick Jr., Danny Barker, Wallace Davenport, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band , among others. He now presents a tour accompanied by banjo player and vocalist Carlos Childe and his band. A concert that captures the true heartbeat of New Orleans, filled with rhythm, passion, and soul.
