About
Roman Goron is a French-Filipino-American Jazz pianist and composer currently studying at The Juilliard School in New York City. He began piano at age five, studied solfège at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, and is a self-taught jazz pianist from age twelve. Roman has performed alongside jazz luminaries such as Joe Farnsworth, Sarah Hanahan, Michael Dease and Jim Rotondi, and has earned numerous accolades, including four DownBeat Student Music Awards, and recognition as a YoungArts Jazz Piano Finalist, a 2025 Yamaha Young Performing Artist, and a Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition Winner. Through his work, he seeks to bridge his passions for music, natural imagery, and narrative—in order to inspire audiences to seek new ways of perceiving the world through the universal language of music.
