Eddie Henderson, American trumpeter and Grammy award winning artist, is a living jazz legend. He is a versatile and innovative musician whose career has spanned more than six decades and he has has left an indelible mark on the genre's history with his unique style and instrumental virtuosity. It was at the age of 16 that Eddie first met Miles Davis when he came to stay at the family home. Miles took Eddie to see the latest version of his band, at the Lighthouse, Hermosa Beach California, which featured Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane in the front line. The music that Eddie heard that night changed the direction of his life and put him on course to become one of the foremost trumpet players, and one of the true greats, in the history of Jazz Music.
