Brotherkenzie, aka Nathan Stocker (Hippo Campus), opens with an entirely improvised instrumental piece, drawing inspiration from his first record— Barncat —and implementing live looping functions. ⊹ deep glens is the electronic music project of producer and mixing/recording engineer Brett Bullion. As an engineer, he has worked across genres with artists such as Low, Samia, Hippo Campus, Margaret Glaspy, Bad Bad Hats, The Bad Plus, Your Smith, and Craig Taborn. deep glens is a return to Bullion’s early roots in experimental electronic music, and draws on formative influences such as warp, mego, chain reaction, and touch, and blends these reference points with his extensive studio experience.
