Roman Filiu saxo · Noslen Ortega percussio & congas · Gastón Joya double bass Oremi Afrojazz is a project conceived as a space for the preservation and reinterpretation of the roots of Cuban musical tradition, in dialogue with the language of traditional jazz and the values of Hispanic-African heritage. Its proposal is built around an acoustic sound that evokes a mystical dimension, where the spirit of classic jazz meets the ancestral force of Cuban rumba. The stage performance reflects a carefully crafted approach, grounded in clear ideas and a deep understanding of the musical context. The result is a show rich in intellect and Cuban flavor, offering an experience rooted in tradition and fusion, moving organically from rumba into jazz. The project is composed of highly experienced musicians, with strong academic training from Cuba’s leading art schools and a notable international presence: Román Filiú (alto saxophone): renowned Cuban musician, producer, arranger, and composer.
