About

Matias Míguez electric bass · Pere Miró saxophone · Alejandro Di Costanzo piano · David Xirgu drums SWANGO PRESENTATION Swango is the second album by Matías Míguez , an Argentine bassist and composer who has been living in Catalonia for the past 23 years. The album combines the soundscapes of jazz and tango through a vision shaped by improvisation. The eight pieces that make up the record share an emotional intensity conveyed through their melodies, balancing a melancholic aesthetic with the intense rhythm of contemporary metropolises. Swango is best experienced as an indivisible work, where the diversity of musical approaches reveals a rich, hybrid cultural background filled with emotional snapshots that the composer gradually unfolds throughout this journey. Matías Míguez , on electric bass and composition, is committed to the handcrafted creation of an original and distinctive concept, driven by the chemistry of an outstanding group of musicians: Pere Miró on saxophone, Alejandro Di Costanzo on piano, and David Xirgu on drums.
