India Shawn India Shawn India Shawn is on the precipice of a major breakthrough. The Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter first turned heads with Origin — a project driven by pure intention. The EP quietly made waves and caught the attention of those who recognized something undeniable in her voice. From there, she continued fortifying her catalog with 2015’s joint effort featuring James Fauntleroy, Outer Limits. In the intervening years, India lent her voice as background support for some of the most respected names in music, including Anderson .Paak, Daniel Caesar, Willow Smith, and The Internet. But even when she stood behind others, she never lost sight of who she was becoming. After aligning with Epic Records in 2021, India released her critically acclaimed LP BEFORE WE GO (DEEPER). When that chapter closed, it didn’t mark an end, but a new direction. Instead of going quiet, India re-emerged with a new deal at VANTA Music – the brainchild of Grammy® and Oscar®-winning producer D’Mile, and his partner, Grammy®-winning mix engineer John Kercy – and immediately hit the ground running, consummating her rise with a slew of singles: “There Must Be a God (From ‘She Taught Love’), “Kill Switch,” and “Cotton Candy Blvd” featuring Lucky Daye. Now, India stands at the edge of something transformative. As everything begins to fall into place, one thing is clear: India’s path forward holds an essence that is, and always will be, subject to change.
