Sonny Rollins is a hero of mine who has had an eight decade career in music and we are excited to pay tribute to him. We are also happy to be joined by the great trombonist Stafford Hunter as part of our quintet for the evening. Stafford has performed, recorded and toured all over the world with the likes of McCoy Tyner, Roy Hargrove, Donald Byrd, Orrin Evans, the Mingus Big Band, Frank Foster, Clark Terry, Reggie Workman, Amy Winehouse, and was a member of the Duke Ellington Orchestra for 21 years.
