Rising to prominence in the 1990’s as a saxophonist/composer of note associated with free jazz, Jon Lloyd and his quartet featuring renowned pianist John Law toured the UK and Europe prolifically, while working with Swiss label HatHut & the UK’s Leo Records. Over the years however his style has evolved towards a more European jazz aesthetic, while also incorporating touchpoints from American and contemporary jazz and even world music.
