Junctional Rhythm, Jazz/Funk/Blues Junctional Rhythm is a four-piece instrumental group exploring the intersection of jazz, funk, and blues. The band came together through a shared love of vintage keyboard-driven music, inspired by artists like Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Jimmy Smith. The sound is centered around Anton Helman, who brings depth and character with a range of classic keyboard tones—from Wurlitzer and Hammond organ to other vintage electric keys. Guitarist Peter Christidis adds expressive lines and rhythmic edge, while the rhythm section—Michael Taylor on bass and Armando Piluso on drums—lays down a solid, responsive groove.
