Jazz show
Márton Stummer – Afrosamba Quartet, guest: Dominik Kosztolánszki (HU/BR)
Opus Jazz Club in Budapest, Ferencvaros.

About
The repertoire of Márton Stummer’s acoustic ensemble consists of Brazilian guitar songs and his own compositions. Afrosamba blends elements of Brazilian samba and Afro-Brazilian jazz. While building on this style, Márton Stummer’s compositions draw equally on classical music, jazz, and contemporary music, while also leaving room for free improvisation. The quartet’s sound is primarily inspired by the playing of Brazilian guitarist Baden Powell. Dominik Kosztolánszki, one of the most outstanding saxophonists of his generation who is at home in several styles, joins the band as a special guest. The title of their new program and concert is Coisas mágicas (Magical Things), a reference to the representation of magical realism in music.
