Fünf der spannendsten Musiker der jungen norddeutschen Jazzszene haben sich 2023 im Henning Schiewer Quintett zusammengefunden, um sich gemeinsam mal abstrakt und mal sehr konkret zwischen Tradition und Innovation, und entlang der Grenzen des zeitgenössischen akustischen Jazz zu bewegen. Die Musik auf ihrem Debutalbum „Leaves on a Creek“ klingt mal träumerisch, und mal aufbrausend und stellt thematisch sowohl die Introspektion als auch das unbeschwerte Miteinander in den Mittelpunkt.
