SON CON TO is not just a band – it is a love letter to the son cubano. Born in London from a collective of Cuban and Latin musicians with deep roots in the tradition, the sextet returns to the original format that defined Cuban music in the 1920s: two voices, tres, trumpet, contrabass/baby bass, bongó and tumbadora. No frills, no fusions forced – just the essential dialogue between melody, rhythm and poetry.
