Zaza Flamenca was created in 2022 by Yael, a French-Israeli singer, musician, actress, and composer. Performing on vocals and acoustic guitar, Zaza most often plays solo, but her project can expand into a duo, trio, or larger ensemble — usually featuring a second guitar or percussion. Her music is progressive and eclectic, drawing inspiration from Gypsy Jazz, French chanson, Bossa Nova, Flamenco, Latin rhythms, and world music. Zaza Flamenca performs songs from around the globe in ten languages, including French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Hebrew, and Greek. Thanks to her unique style, Zaza is often compared to Pink Martini. With her background in acting, she has an exceptional ability to connect with audiences, making every concert unforgettable through humor, anecdotes, and a warm stage presence. Zaza has shared the stage as the opening act for Latin Grammy Award winner Leo Dan, and she holds a Master of Jazz degree from Queens College \(2014\). Listed by WBGO Live Jazz.
